As a musician, I would like to make some commentary.
I am not such a good one. But the there comes some advantages of being one, no matter the talent.
You get to understand poetry. You tend to analyze it, break it down, analyze other people’s work as an artisan.
That’s why I recommend every becomes an artist. No matter the talent.
Vikid is the most talentest artist out there. And he is proud of it. Like the idiot off X Factor. Only he is aware of it.
So there is this song that came out recently.
It’s not a particularly good one, objectively. Average in every way.
Yet it sticks out.
Why?
Because it says something. It’s a declaration of war. Have you ever seen the 7 Samurai. The original version? In black and white?
It not a declaration of aggressive war.
It’s a declaration of… come here and get it.
It’s a declaration of “enough is enough”
“Try that in a small town… I don’t recommend you try it”
I am also strangely drawn to song.
Normallly I like calmer, complex music. I live in devotional art. Art for and to God, about peace.
This song is closer to Krishna talking to Arjuna on the battle field saying, “Now is the time for war, mofo”.
And we all know it is. Though we might want to deny it. It’s going to be biblical. It’s going to be Sodom and Gammorah. David and Goliath. It’s going to go Mahabharata.
The war is coming…
The choice you have is who you’re going to join.
Billy Goat Gates, Tedros and Biden or James Aldean?
Try that in a Small Town..
And that’s
The Vikid Truth
There’s a bonus. Listen to a real artist. Put on some proper headphones. Become Arjun. We are at war.
We are watching a movie. The "Biden" on TV isn't Joe.
