It’s day 5 and I feel like I’m cruising . Last night I went for a short cycle maybe 8 km and this morning I discovered a new way of walking. It’s called The Vikid Freestyle. It really is surprising that I feel like going out and working out. I am putting no pressure on myself to do this and I’m not over exerting myself either. My energy is better while fasting, go figure 🧐.
The Vikid Freestyle
It goes like this. I found a reasonably long patch of grass near my house (1.5km). I then wear my trainers from the house to the patch of grass. Once I reach the grass I take off my socks & shoes and do a “walking freestyle”.
What freestyle entails is many many things. You walk of course, most of the time, but in between you can hop, skip and jump. Cartwheels and forward rolls are not frowned on either. You can bear walk (or bare walk :-)), crab walk and similar animal movements.

You can swing your arms in various positions to get in a good stretch and do the same with your legs. Short sprints are good too. Nothing to hard. Just get the dynamics and feel. Handstands are welcome and you can even try climbing a tree, if you feel adventurous!
This is beneficial in so many ways, firstly your grounding with Mother Earth. Something I think most of us look over. All animals touch the ground with their own feet and hands (however you call them) and it’s only humans that use shoes and have special floorings in their houses. To get out side in nature and touch the earth is beneficial, if a little woo woo.
Secondly, walking and running are mono-movements. Think injuries. That can’t be healthy, with freestyle you’re getting mobility, flexibility, coordination, strength and more all over your body.
Now you know… You can do The Vikid Freestyle too!
And remember to share the site, it really may help a friend of yours. You know a plump one, one with addictions to alcohol and drugs or just with some fears. We all have a few friends like these 😉 . It may just get them thinking in the right direction and taking some positive action…
In confession I’ve been having some coconut water. It’s a crutch but a crutch I am happy with.
And lastly, I decided to quit reading books and watching YouTube too. So no reading, no watching, no websites, no listening, even to music and meditations. The rest of the fast will be a multidimensional fast.
I still have to work. There will be plenty of excel sheets, word documents, contracts, meetings and site visits. So it’s not like I will be in a cave.
It’s a choice and it feels right. Feels rather liberating actually. We will see, it’s only day 5 of 20 and my body, mind or the universe itself may have the last laugh. This is just beginning.
