The Truth is Wicked

The Vikid Truth was lying in his favorite armchair. It had been a long few months of living in a surreal jungle. A jungle of corporate backstabbing, interdepartmental cold wars, megalomania, suppression, favoritism and pure lies.

Within that melee there had been some significant victories (surprisingly) and some significant setbacks.

He opened his phone and saw his best friends had sent him some news on the chat.

“Trump Convicted on all 34 Counts”

At one time he would have been so interested. He would have followed up and done his “own research”, but it occurred to him that he knew all he needed to know already and it would be unnecessary.

Being “The Hero of Truth”™️ has its advantages. These days he could see a viper from a mile off. Often it didn’t change the outcome. He still got bitten. The subtleties of why would be explored in another post.

But we all know about the Trump case.

“It’s a Shit Show”

You know, cause you have front row seats and the only way not to know, is to actively play dumb.

But everyone has got really good at that. Reflexively good. It’s required for survival.

Society has been engineered with this in mind.

Whether you know it or not, you think that the Truth is Wicked and therefore you pursue lies with maniacal vigor.

Deny it all you want. Spit at the author.

The reason lies work so well is because the truth and by extension the world and reality itself is so resilient. For the most part lies become irrelevant in the long run, while giving the liar an advantage in the short term. In a world built for speed, one can immediately see why it is so appealing.

Well that is, it works, until it doesn’t. And no one knows where that line lies, except that many of us now are beginning to feel it. It’s the ignition of a nascent, primeval instinct. Some circuitry in the lizard brain, or some metabolical path way from the amoeba stage has been triggered.

The House of Cards has reached its Zenith.

Let’s take some examples:

Did you ever watch “Supersize Me”?

It was basically one fat lie. No pun intended. Morgan Spurlock, the creator, may he rest in peace, strayed unfortunately far from the truth.

A lie we were happy with, cause we were pleased with the target. You may research this at your pleasure.

What about “Bowling for Columbine”?

An older documentary, another “fat one” that made its author riches. A vast fortune in fact. Now he protests against the “rich”.

What about “An Inconvenient Truth”?

A lie of Global Proportions. But you must really care if you want to get to the gorey details.

A packet of pure lies that half the world is following under another whopper called ESG, while the other half of the world is ignoring it at full advantage. You will lose your job or fortune because of this. You probably have no f’ing idea and will blame the wrong guys. It’s a lie of WWIII proportions.

Shall we be reminded about the pandemic. Better not. You fell for that hook line and sinker. Don’t lie to yourself now. And the memory of that might have you lynching the author rather than just spitting at him.

How about that wonderful diabetes drug going around right now?

It’s having an identity crisis. It’s wearing a skirt and some pearls and calling itself “A Weight Loss Miracle”.

Think about the lies your doctor has to tell you and the lies you have to tell yourself to take such an intervention. It acts by paralyzing your stomach.

How about Crypto? It’s “anonymous” but every agency under the sun, secret or not, can track you using it.

AI? Perhaps we could call it, “Pattern Recognition Gone Wrong”

The Robust Economy? Or just Bust?

Transitory Inflation? A transit to CBDC’s more likely.

The Line? Some have called it “The Hyphen”.

Electric cars, to save the planet? Should be named, “Giant Toxic Battery Mobile”, built on slavery.

Ukraine? A “Just War”, bankrupting nations, killing machine. Worthwhile virtue signal.

Think about the lies you have to tell everyday to sell whatever it is you are selling.

If you are a teacher, your job is to sell the curriculum handed to you by your institution, to a non-the-wiser, innocent, student base.

If you are a student, your job is to regurgitate these lies to get ahead. Active suppression of your inbuilt bullshit detector becomes the vital skill.

If you’re in business, then Vikid had no business of saying any more. Bullshitting is your mastery.

Property sales? Ha ha. Luxury Dreams.

Scientist? Well, you know where that grant money is coming from and you will design your experiments for getting the “right” results. Or that will be your last grant. Capiche?

The Truth was getting tired. The post had gotten too long.

He would lie to himself that someone, somewhere would read this and that put a smile on his face.
