The Game of Thrones is a essentially a story about the lengths, depths and depravities people will go to, to seek power and to attain ultimate dominion.
(Funny, that’s the name of the corporation that was entrusted with the US Election, don’t you think! Coincidence?)
I watched the first four seasons avidly. It was so well done, everything about it, the actors, costumes, cinematography, the betrayals, the cliff hangers and more. It just oozed with class and intrigue but ultimately I quit, long before the season 8 finale, thank heavens, because I saw the bait and switch.
The first point of realization was that these shows are used as a form of hypnotism, they lure you in and then flip the script. You are bombarded with subliminal messages that seem whimsical and of no consequence while watching but are made for deliberate effect by the very powerful forces behind their creation. Most people assume that the promoters of such shows are about the box office and galas. That’s just surface detail and we will need to dive deeper to explore this, but maybe that’s for another day.
What I really want explore today is the concept of the “The Throne” itself.
It symbolizes ultimate power. A prize worth any level of sacrifice, where weakness is the ultimate sin. The machinations of the main characters confirm this. Anything and everything is for sale, including their baby’s souls.
Which brings me to a curious book, I found by chance.
(turn on images in your email, if you can’t see the picture)
It’s a libertarian book by a fairly unknown author, outside a very small circle. I have explored Larken’s various online videos and other books and it’s not even that I agree with him on everything (I don’t) but the book makes some very important points and backs them with sound logic and plenty of examples.
What he is essentially saying is the power behind the throne is not only illegitimate but that it’s completely an illusion too.
It’s Pure Superstition.
And similarly, this Game of Elections is just as fictitious as the television show that held the worlds attention for 8 seasons. It’s replete with actors, stages, fantastical garments and storylines of deceit & cunning.
The upshot of investing your time here is wonderful sense of freedom you will get. I think Adyashanti, a modern day American Mystic nailed it with the below mentioned metaphor.
Political awakening is very much like much like the spiritual kind.
What you realize is that you are the sober one, in a Land of the Pissed! People drunk with political power doing anything for the next high and for their Savior to be King. For the Manor Lords will shower them with favors and any beverage of their liking. They will sell their common sense for it, cut off their parents and mortgage their children. Weakness is sin.
Talking sense, well that’s just for you. You may occasionally find a fellow citizen but it’s far, wide and rare. You may join in on the occasional game, but you’re never really in the party. You can even occasional get merry but in the end you revert to water. Sparkling Water works just fine for special occasions.
The Throne is a fiction and seeing the simplicity in this idea is as elusive as its spiritual counterpart.
The Republicans are as dumb as the Democrats. They just (currently) have slightly better fictions.
The real Throne is your mind and setting it free is the real prize. There are many that will seek to convince you otherwise.
Don’t fall for it.
And That’s
The Vikid Truth
Awakening is a deeply personal inward journey that is largely unique to the one experiencing it. The sooner we learn to trust our own process and the truth we find within, the sooner we can let go of the need for external validation. That’s where peace and power align with love.
- From Martin Geddes, Open Your Mind to Change - probably the most accurate current examination of the Awakening in the US.
