The Vikid Truth had hatched a little plan.
He visited an old business competitor who had stopped competing with him for a few years.
You see the story went like this…
The competitor was owned by a large distinguished family with an empire the size of a small country. The competitor was doing well, much better than Vikid’s outfit, in fact.
But one fine day the Emperor got bored and decided to put this business on hold. He didn’t close the business. He just hit the pause button. The core team was kept intact, they were employed at full pay.
He just stopped taking in new business…
After a while, they had no work and in this vacuum, Vikid was able to capitalize.
(Not by much mind you, there were others players)
Well, the plan worked like this…
That sleeping giant still had a lot of useful assets, machinery, licenses and people of use. It’s just that they were not being used productively.
So Vikid went to meet one of the Emperor’s generals, his eyes on the prize.
Alas, the plan was rejected.
The general just smiled. He said,
“The Emperor may raise his army whenever he so wishes and he has no need or desire to sell his arms”.
During his meeting they chatted about many new participants on the playing field. It turned out that many of the new entrants were fools.
In this they agreed, but there was one who knew, “how to play the game”.
He was the one to keep an eye on.
This particular entrant was once on Vikid’s team. But now, he had set up on his own, (with ill gained goods) and had gone rogue. This one had an ambition to match the Emperor himself.
Which got Vikid thinking about politics, finance and the world in general.
There are those, who know how to play the game. (Emperors, Generals, Politicians, etc…)
There are those who think they know how to play the game. (Businessman, Doctors, Accountants and other Fools)
And there are those, who don’t know there’s a game being played. (Voters, Sheep)
Also, there is a select few who watch it all. Those who know that they know that we know that they know… They also know theres no escaping the game. So they play, for whatever it’s worth. (Superheroes, The Awake)
Lastly, there are a very few Game Makers…
Vikid liked to think of them more as Farmers. Human farmers. They set the rules on the board. They create and guide civilizations.
You’ve never heard of their names and Vikid questioned if they were even human themselves.
They corral the sheep into suitable pens. There’s a pen for whatever’s your interest. Football? Sure. LGBT? Of course, just tell us how queer… Conservative, which flavor? And on, and on, a pen of every size, shape and interest.
There a large number of people who think they know how to play the game, a few hundred million at the least. These people like to read the Economist, the FT, they listen to Joe Rogan, they watch the news, they follow political parties, they may preside over a few associations themselves. They may be business owners, professors, doctors, CEO’s of a bank, etc… and generally are of high IQ.
They may even be conspiracy theorists. They may have many pandemic theories or have clocked how Big Pharma works, 9/11 etc… they think they’re awake.
Nah, that’s just another elaborate pen.
Then there are the players who don’t know they are in a game at all, they are the billions in size, chewing on grass, clocking into work, waiting for the slaughter.
Vikid thought about it.
Yes, even the Emperor and his General were in the game, simply players. Just ones who knew the rules and had a lot of cards or in this case, a chest of gold and lot of arms.
Either you know or you don’t know. Or you know that they know that you know that they know that you know.
And you play anyway…
And that’s,
Laborers. Traders. Knowers. Thinkers.
Be a thinker.
