On Playing the Fiddle While the Infection Spreads

The sheer magnitude of what’s happening right now has me stunned with stupidity.
In 64 AD it is alleged that while Rome burnt, Emperor Nero played the fiddle. That’s probably not true, (yes fake news is that old) but it does conjure a vivid imagination.

Currently, we collectively watch Netflix as a torch is taken to our institutions and freedoms. I, not much more intelligently, meditated for the last 3 months, while this was going on. Effectively, it was nothing more than sticking my fingers in my ears while going, “la, la, la” or perhaps more accurately, “Om, Om, Om…”.

And when I woke up from my meditative stupor, I witnessed that not only Rome, but everything around it, for hundreds of miles, had been cindered.

Now, the fire was after common sense itself.

Examples are probably illuminating at this point.

Hair Dye and Masks

This weekend I met some friends in the park. We sat in this middle of a green field probably 200 ft away from the nearest other strangers. Three dads chatting, as the children played catch with a volley ball. The two other dads sat with their masks on. I, of course without. I asked them, what was the logic of wearing a mask in an open park, when nearby, we could legally sit in a crowded McDonald’s without wearing a face-nappy?

It felt like they had never considered the question. Slowly they lowered the masks over their chins, never however, having the confidence to actually take the thing off.

We then got onto the topic of the Trump lawyer’s press conference held by Rudy Giuliani, Sydney Powell & Jenna Ellis. Watch it in full if you can, whatever happens, Jenna is a star in the making. That’s my prediction.

I was asked, “Did you see that lawyer’s hair dye coming off? Ha ha ha!”

To which I replied,

“Yes! But did you listen to what he had to say?”

to which I got, “Don’t have time for that. [long pause] It’s too confusing, Trump will lose anyway...”

I think I murmured something to myself but essentially by then, I had given up. There is not much that can be done with that. Communication is impossible when we don’t share the same reality.

Royalty

Earlier that morning we had been for breakfast at another friends house. The conversation turned to The Crown. The latest in hot Netflix series’.

I asked them about the dangers of mixing historical facts with fiction. The general response was that the costumes and actors were so great. It was a super show.

So I repeated, yes, beautiful people are put on screen and I don’t doubt the story telling and screenplay is killer, but what about the willful manipulation of history to drive an agenda?

We didn’t even get to “who’s” agenda. The collective group concentration couldn’t last that long and we moved onto other topics.

What happens in two years from now when half the public forgot about The Crown but are very sure of what they think about Margret Thatcher and the Queen?

Then we have the Zuck-feed. I notice that the people of “love” generally have the most nasty things to say. I was called “ignorant” more than once this week. Apparently, I have no idea what I am talking about, which of course may be true, but I generally see quite a “toxic” atmosphere where the party of Unity and Science regularly excoriate their “friends” publicly.

I am not sure why, but in the last week I have had people from around the globe, who don’t normally contact me, message me privately with with concern. They are worried by what they see but publicly they are silent.

Getting Naked

Let’s not Forget the PCR Test. A few years ago (5, maybe more), I read Dancing Naked in the Mind Field, by Kary Mullis.

I didn’t even know what PCR was at the time but in one of the first chapters Kary describes his discovery and how the idea came to him. This is truly a gem of a book and it gets a serious recommendation from Vikid. In the final chapters, Kary explains his views on the AIDS Virus.

Frankly, it was shocking and I had never realized that there is still scientific dispute nature of the virus. So, I investigated and lord help me, there is a dispute! A credible dispute on the link between HIV and AIDS.

Trivia: Who was one of the main players on the other side of the dispute?

I encourage you to do some history on the man. It is illuminating.

Then I found that Kary didn’t believe the PCR was useful for detecting disease and yet… we are using it globally to do just that.

Does the penny drop yet?

I don’t want to go into the details of why scientifically, but there is an important point why I am bringing this up. The PCR is an amplification method. Each Cycle you amplify a signal exponentially. So with enough cycles, you can find anything you want.

Guess how many cycles are used in a standard Covid test?

Enough to find anything you want.

Now, I decided to talk to a couple of Biologists about this (Phd’s and all). They couldn’t understand or see the significance in what I was saying. I gave up again. Communication is impossible when we don’t share the same reality.

We are seeing this infection of stupidity everywhere. I am not sure if I am immune but I think so, because I already had a pretty bad infection with it in 2013 and I was almost killed by it. I am pretty sure you can’t get it twice. Can you?

2020 has seen a global pandemic. We are stunned by stupid and I am not sure if we can recover in time. Perhaps I should just get on with playing the fiddle, or in my case the guitar. Like the Emperor 2000 years before me, it looks like nothing much can be done.
