Vikid had read a thousand books, which got him thinking quite a lot. So much so, that he had got himself confused. In fact he had been told by a close friend that so much data would drive a man crazy. He had dismissed this at the time but now he was beginning to see the wisdom of the warning. Perhaps the mind was like a hard disk or a processor that could be over clocked and filled to the brim. Now the overworked machine was malfunctioning, crashing at inopportune moments. Worse, Vikid was suspecting erroneous results, a simulated car crash in high definition and slow motion. A Guy Ritchie production, Lock Stock Lunacy, Dolby 3D Surround Sound, for which he had front row seats in a theatre made for one.

Something strange had happened 7 years previously. Vikid was in a deep meditation when his thoughts separated from his being. He was crouched over on his knees, staring into a bucket when the mind decided to take a vacation from the body and hovered about 3ft away on his right, independently.

It appeared like a spiral galaxy except being more globular. He could clearly think but it could be seen that the thinking wasn’t happening inside of him. Thinking was something exterior to being, an artifact, a good to have accessory but ultimately unnecessary.

It is then he understood how animals worked. Imagine if you will the majestic creatures around us, cats, dog, chimpanzees, horses, elephants etc. they have no words and yet have complex social behaviors. They understand their territories, have memories of past events, they strategize when hunting, they explore, they love, they live in communities etc… He could never understand how this happened before the event. How did animals think without words? It seemed like an impossible thought.

Think about it for a second. Imagine you lost the power of words. How would you even communicate with yourself in your own mind, forget others? Who is communicating with whom when you are thinking all by yourself? The mystery at the heart of everything.

But that day when the mind split, it was clear, there was a deep intelligence behind it, embedded in being, veiled by thought. Maya.

It then occurred to him that all those words are just like furniture, the mind was the Titanic. The worlds greatest machine, unsinkable they said, and we in our confusion were rearranging the chairs upon its deck after the fact it was already at the bottom of the Atlantic.

Frantic rearrangement of 26 letters, strung together like beads on a necklace. Hoping against hope that the next line of jewelery would solve the mysteries of the universe. The Captain had already sunk with the ship and so had the loot, but it didn’t matter as he was already the ocean.

It was a pointless exercise, futility at its finest, yet mesmerizing in its beauty. From Tolstoy to Einstein, from Mathew and Luke to Valmiki, we lived and were guided by these arrangements of sound. But it’s not the words that matter, it was the capacity to hear them. It was sound itself. A divine vibration. That’s where the magic was. The ability was the source of intelligence. It was pure being in form… the formless form. Magnificent.

And that’s,

The Vikid Truth

A very different yet identical perspective.
