Bulking and Cutting
A Simple and Humble Moron thinks…
Every body builder knows that in the pursuit of a perfect body there can only be two phases, bulking and cutting.
Similarly, Superheroes phaseshift for maximum impact. Batman retreats to his cave and The Vikid Truth into his books. After deep contemplation and spiritual renewal they emerge to face the demons. Strong than before. Batman with his Batmobile and gadgets, Vikid with a pen and paper, these days, more or less, a virtual keyboard on a smartphone.
Vikid, besides being a Superhero of Truth™️. had the pleasant opportunity of having three children. It was very curious and informative to watch their development and process of learning. Each one had a distinct (yet unconscious) strategy and leading to varying results.
He noticed the same at his office (like Clark Kent, Vikid had a day job) and it occurred to him that “innate” talent was actually linked to the process of phaseshifting.
To learn, you must phaseshift. You must shift from “know it all” to “curious and humble moron”. His kids, who did it the best, learnt the most. His kids who already knew it all, lagged behind.
You see, most people are limited by what they “know”, not by what they “don’t know”.
When you “know” something, you tend to cease exploring it.
When you know how to do it, you use the same strategy over and over again. You shout at your children when they can’t sit still… because you “know” they need discipline.
You try to control people because “that’s how stuff gets done.”
When you know you have “no interest” in a subject, why would you take your time with it? You tend to pass it up.
