Boundary Condition
Physics is full of equations. The truth is they don’t tell you much (about the real world) until you set the boundary conditions.
Take the simplest of equations
Y = mX + C
It’s says nothing further than linearity. It is free floating.
It’s only when you actually find and set ‘m’ & ‘C’ that the equation can be used to actually solve anything.
There is a deep philosophical implication to this simple observation. It applies to everything of consequence, every idea that follows a prescribed formula or rules, like Logic, which is the base of all thinking.
Intuitively, you have used this fact all your life. Feel the ground below you, the gravity pulling you on to this immovable surface, that’s one boundary. The surface of your skin, that’s another. You feel enveloped.
There’s a boundary to your consciousness. That single voice within. And when you open your eyes, light bounces of each surface, declaring the boundaries of your environment.
Morally, if you look closely enough, boundaries are set by two conditions, one is the innate nature of disgust, the other is some moral system. It could be given by a religious book or by some other system like “human rights”. It is worthwhile examining their boundaries. That’s essentially what the discipline of “philosophy” is.
Science itself is a boundary condition. The boundary lies precisely where Theory hits Reality. It’s called the Experiment. It also has an implicit condition called honesty. Without honest application, it is totally unworthy.
The events of the last 4 years cast complete doubt on that part. People got exposed to decades of scientific dishonesty. Laying waste to everything.
Democratic Politics also has some critical boundaries. One is of an informed public. Another is of choice. Still another is of politicians being answerable to the people.
None of that is true in a meaningful sense now. The media has gone rogue. Information is untrustworthy. It’s institutional malpractice.
Politicians answer to Supra National Groups, not the people.
Without the boundary conditions, you have a farce. You have something completely different going by the same name.
Take the Blues. It has some conditions. Particular notes and a rhythmic language. If you break those rules, it’s not blues anymore. It might be good, it might be classical music or a cacophony. But it certainly ain’t the blues.
Nations too have boundaries. One is a defined territory. Two an identity. Three a way of preserving them.
These have been washed away. Boundary-less.
Except power does not exist in a vacuum, it seeks its boundary and takes over where it can.
England without the English is no England at all.
Perhaps the biggest point to note.
There are no “Laws”. There are only boundaries. As we grope around in the dark, bumping into things, we define ‘rules’ that respect them.
Any system that doesn’t work on this principle is bound for a great collision.
That is the Boundary Condition.
And that’s,
The Vikid Truth
